does anyone know of a good tutorial (preferably 3ds) so that i can model mastercheif.
also what size model should he be?

If your gonna be modeling Masterchief, it would be a good idea to post for what platform version. example....h2vista, CE, xbox etc....

If it is for Halo 2 Vista, the best way to start would be to export the mesh for the chief with a program called Entity. I recommend using the 3.1.8 version. Once you have that mesh extracted, import the obj files into a max scene, at a scale of 100. That should get you started. Also the textures will export along with the obj's from Entity. thanks for the heads up on that twinreaper,i'm gonna have a go at 1 for ce.i know it's been done many times but i've never tried myself and i have a few ideas for the look of it.

will entity work for the ce version,all i have managed to find is 3.1.6 up to 3.1.7

Any version of Entity should open a CE map fine. I would suggest moving there for further help though....forum rules nd all. Not to mention they will hve other resources for you there.
