well i did again my map, and got to this point that doesnt need to happen(in yayap the grunt tutorial doesnt happend) i have finished until making the shaders folder and when i type this in the cmd (note:prueba is the name of the map):

tool structure levels\prueba prueba

this pops out:

Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
building intermediate geometry...
choose a type for the shader 'mtl #':
1. shader_environment
2. shader_model
3. shader_transparent_generic
4. shader_transparent_chicago
5. shader_transparent_chicago_extended
6. shader_transparent_water
7. shader_transparent_glass
8. shader_transparent_meter
9. shader_transparent_plasma
choice (1-9):

and that should not pop out, it should inmediately make the compiling, but it didnt.

please help

In gmax make the material name the name of the bitmap you used! Not mtl #.

DUDE IVE REDONE IT AND AS I DID BEFORE I PUTTED ON EVERYTHING THAT THE TUTORIAL SAID ME TO PUT THE NAME OF THE MATERIAL THE NAME OF THE BITMAP, but nothing, still got the same message, what can i do know, im tired of making the map again again and again please help meeeeeeeeeeeee!

That just says that the shader could not be found, most likely because you're missing shaders that the tutorial has that you don't. Type in 1, hit enter. It should fail. Then, repeat the procedure, and that choice menu will go away.

ok i passed it, thanks a lot but now we return to my other problem
