I cba to download a map just to look at weapon, upload a video or post pics.

Also who wants to take bets on how long that forum lasts?

1) Pictures. It's all about the pictures. Your text is absolutely worthless to us unless it has some sort of photographic evidence that proves any of the things you claim above is being done by capable hands.

2) Creditability. You are brand new here, and I have frankly never heard of you or your team, and I'm sure most of the forums has not either. Thus, we have no idea if you're just some random-BS-idea-sprouting 10 year old, a bored troll, or some serious mapper who actually knows your stuff. Give some example of your work, referring to my first point above.

3) Examples. The only examples you give of your work require registering for some other forum. Most of us would not be bothered to go through all that unless you have something to show. Don't expect us to make an account just to download something, unless you at least have pictures showing what that something is. Are we making an account to download a n00b modded Needler, or are we making an account to download an awesome custom modeled, custom textured, custom animated new art piece? Who knows.

Read through my 3 points carefully and try again.

If what Vern says is true, and I have nothing against him so I will assume it is, then...

OMG Vern kk I'mma totally go through the trouble to register, download, and try out a modded AR out! Heck, why not, I have tons of time to burn! Let's go try it out now! I'll go host a server, and you join! I'll be waiting!

No one here, or frankly anywhere, is going to take you seriously if you thought putting tank rounds with an automatic weapon would make good game play. Take time to think out weapon functions instead of "LOL look tank rounds pwn!"

Hello, newcomer!

Let me give you some great advice on your mod, and especially, I am serious about this.

First of all, your aiming way to high. You never going to achieve all those things you just planned to do. Your not going to achieve making your own game, with over 24 hours of gameplay. Its just impossible. Sorry. I've been working on a mod called "Project Lumoria", its a single player map that spans 1 level and im hoping to only get to at least 1 hour 30 mins~ of gameplay. No way in hell would I ever achieve more then that unless I want to make it extremely exaggerating and take away my teen years by staying in my room all day working on the thing. I recommend lowering your own expectations on what your thinking that you'll be able to achieve, especially if you think you can do this in a year.

15 Multiplayer maps? I've been here for like 3 years and have only made at least like 7 or 8 decent ones. I don't think you'll get to 15 good multiplayer maps unless you have like team of 4 or 5 people working on them all and making sure there all fun and well.

No pictures? You shouldn't of even dared to post without pictures, or some sort of backup that shows your progress and that you've at least gotten some where and that you have actually been working on this. We don't want to hear (or read, I guess) your text that you came out with in less then 5 minutes telling us about how awesome it without them or anything to give us a clue on what you've been doing.

Next is your single player idea's. I've stuck this into everyone's head in the past, and im going to do it to you next.
This is the order you should be designing your so called campaign:

1) WRITE YOUR SCRIPT!!!! This include the following: Dialouge, story, characters, backround info, rough ideas of what happens when, etc, etc.

2) GET YOUR TAGSET MADE!!!!!AHHHH! This is really important. Having your tagset made and knowing how it plays is essential in designing your bsp's and levels!

3)DESIGN ALL YOUR BSP'S AND LEVELS!!11!! Draw everylast bit of what happens, when were, and how on pieces of paper. Upload em, collaborate with your team, and make em' funner. This helps so much its not even funny, do it.

4) MODEL YOUR ENCOUNTER!!!! Model a rough draft of your encounter and bsp's. When I say rough, I mean not good looking. Your aiming to make it fun at the moment, you shouldn't be caring about prettiness.

4) MAKE IT PRETTY!!!!!! Make your now fun map into something gorgeous we'd want to have sex with. Use Halo 1's architecture and environments to your advantage; see how bungie made there maps and Halo 1 to be successful in looking good.

5) OPTIMIZE THAT CRAP!!! Optimize. Get feedback on your work. Make sure people like it, and think its fun (ie get some beta testers). Add things like portals and those final adjustments to the level/bsp/encounter etc.

And thats how you make a successful single player map.
Same thing can be applied to multiplayer, cept' in a different way, but it should be obvious.

Also, seeing as you don't even have a team yet, you should of gotten that taken care of before you posted a crap load of info on your mod.

Get your crap together and post something exciting and read my message instead of being lazy.

it's funny cause no one in the history of Halo CE mapping has ever made a decent, completely custom, full-length campaign, and here's this guy who knows how to change projectiles trying to make one.

good luck getting help, but you'll have to bring more to the table for most people to help you.

It appears to be a fixation with older woman which most often means girls his own age want nothing to do with him. Either that or he is attempting to troll and wants to see how far he can go before being banned. Of course he could just be trying for humor but only a few get get it. So far it is mostly harmless and lets face it older women can still be sexy.

Im just going to be straight to the point here...

Higuy's post sums up everything tbh. But I will repeat some things.

You can NOT do half of the things that you said you plan on doing.. e.g. Train Stations. Have you dont any research about this game before you planned this?

This is the stupidest idea I have seen in a long time, and that is bad seeming as this is halomaps... And you will never be able to add that many vehicles... Halo isnt designed for it, and the amount of scripts which you would need to spawn the vehicles...

I could make a long post but I might hurt someone feelings, so I am going to finnish by saying:

No, your acting cocky. You seem like you have the talent to do this when you cant even model. I would give a shot of doing some of your own work before trying to take something on as ridiculous as this.

Calm down, if you want workers, post anywhere but here, I highly suggest that. With how much trolling goes on here, I hesitate to even post here. Grab me on IM tomorrow, and I can work on your website for you. A few hours and its redone.

Talk to Geared (user on Halomaps), just PM him. He can offer some suggestions on modeling.

oh plz. u can find time, hell if i can almost any one can. work,college,taking care of my senior grandparents, running my mini business,gaming,and sh!tload of other stuff....there is no excuse. unless u have no pc, but then u would be modding halo ce would u?
