Well, I've tried all I can to add a mist fog plane and the water fog plane in the same bsp. I even have them in completely separate portals. I conclude I need to divide up the section of map using the mist fog plane into another BSP (feel free to contradict me anytime).

Now how would I go about scripting the map to enable BSP switching? I know I need to use trigger volumes, but I'm looking for what commands to use (I'm used to scripting for single player).

The concept of the fog plane eludes me; I thought that only the region below the fog plane was affected, not everything below the plane. That is, if my fog plane is 4x4 units, only what's below the plane within those 4x4 units is affected, not every region of the map below the fog plane

P.S. the map has a section of river, where the player must go underwater to get inside a cavern on the other side. In the cavern is a tunnel that leads out to the right. Taking the tunnel, the player will eventually reach where the tunnel walls fall back and the player must cross a stone bridge/arch. It is here where the mist is (bottomless pit).
