I read about Engineers on Halopedia and I saw something about when you shoot them some bubbles appear after they die. Like wound graphics or something, and I was wondering if someone could implement them into a character.

Um... they explode and launch like plasma nade looking thinks when they die and those things can kill you like plasma nades. I think someone was working on this at some point. But yeah, they are not bubbles for sure. lol

Engineer is in b30. Someone needs to animate it.

What are you talking about.

The engineer is already animated, it has no weapon animations because it wasn't meant to use them. It's intention was to float around looking at certain symbols on the forerunner walls.

If you try giving them a weapon to use (hell, even the actor_variant made for it, an engineer holding a plasma pistol) no animations are there for it.

Its real intention, again is to float around and not fight you. They are whats known as "non-combat" AI, like the birds in Halo 2.

I was referring to death animations.

It doesn't need death animations because it explodes.

The same thing can happen for the sentinel, it can either use animations or not and look realistic.

My modified version of CMT's Geist has no death animation and falls to the floor and blows up :3

He's referring to how the beta (never finalized) engineer model included in the level b30 had effects that appeared on it's surface when it was shot. He wants to know if these can be done to other characters.

It used to say this on the halo wikia, but I don't want to find that in the HUGE page history, and it's not there any more because of ODST.

Ah here we go. It was a particle effect. TAG: effects\particles\air\bubbles fizz floodcombat.particle
It's in the Localized Damage Effect for the engineer.

It is not a wound effect, as you suggest, but actual purple-pink bubbles that emit from the shot for a little while after infliction.

Trivia: The Engineer was SO WIP that it used a large amount of data from other objects (more than anything else), and had a number of typos in it's files.

It's green, but yeah. It is different in the engineer though. Albeit not very...
