If someone knows how to copy and move an app, then why couldn't they do the same with a map?
I just put a shortcut folder on my desktop called Compiled Maps, to me that seems easier then using an app to do the same thing.

because some people might not no where the map folder is, some people are lazy, some people just don't know how to navigate to folders.
it's just a more convenient way.

Yeah that is true, those sad sad people that "use" a computer and yet they don't even know what C:\ means or even what Windows Explorer is for. You give them a nix system and they wouldn't have any idea what to do, at all.
