When I go to run Halo 2 Vista on my computer, it gives me this error:


I looked up how to use it, but found no real help.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I tried running as an administrator, in compatibility mode with Windows vista Service Pack 2, and it still didn't work. I installed it before I installed the new version of Windows Live, so that might be it.

And it turned out that my friend just got his to work, but he has 32 bit windows 7. I wonder if it has any difference.

It should not, I've played H2V on every version of Windows since Vista 32/64-Bit through 2008 32/64-Bit to Win7 64-Bit.

2008 gave me the most issues, but after manually adding the correct Live files it worked fine.

Are you sure that Live was updated at least twice? You may have to update it manually.

Also, do you get this error every-time, even after a reboot? Lastly, do any other Live enabled games do this?
