It's actually pretty easy. Just open globals.globals and look for 'unit' under 'Multiplayer Information'. Change 'biped' to 'vehicle' and then just look for any vehicle you want to play as to replace the biped. Then just pick any scenario and compile to test it out. Though, I'd pick a big map with open space so you don't spawn stuck in walls.
