Alright, I am making a map with glass walls, and don't have photoshop. Could someone give me a good glass texture to use in my bsp, not to use as, say, a scenery piece?
Thanks in advance.

Gimp is a free alternative to Photoshop, try that.
And no, I don't have good glass textures, sorry.

I already have gimp, so thats not a problem. I downloaded a tutorial on making glass from this site, but it's in photoshop and the interfaces are obviously different. So are there any good gimp tutorials out there for it?

If your desperate you can get away with creating a .shader_transparent_glass tag and assigning nothing but a reflection cube map to it. You can even set it to be a dynamic mirror, but you might have to render higher quality lightmaps to see any mirror effects.

I couldn't figure out alphas in GIMP either so don't feel bad.
Photoshop and Print Shop Pro both have 30 day free trials. i suggest trying those out. I prefer PSPX2.

Alright, I already had a good tutorial for making glass, found at http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2566 if anyone wants it, it uses Paint Shop. I used the trial for PS, and it worked. Thanks for telling me about that, Sleepy1212. E: Also, he uses an older version of PS, so you may need to try and find things under some of the different menus. But it's still pretty easy to figure out. Edited by deslakle on Jan 11, 2010 at 04:21 PM
