I am trying to make a simple vehicle, mostly to practice my modeling skills (I have none lol) and want to know how to make those nodes and markers that you see when you import a .gbxmodel. Can someone tell me how to do this?

Just make a sphere for both. For a node, name it ''frame WHATEVERYOUWANTHERE" (without quotations). For a marker name it ''#WHATEVERYOUWANTHERE".
Although not required, some people like to make nodes green with a size of 2 and markers blue with a size of 1 to easily distinguish the difference between the two.

Okay, thanks. Also, what is the difference between nodes and markers? By the name, I would believe a marker only marks where something is (i.e. a wheel) and a node marks things such as seats on the vehicle. Lastly, do they need to be linked to anything, such as the body of the vehicle? Edited by deslakle on Jan 2, 2010 at 07:14 PM

Alright, that cleared it all up. Thanks guys. Also, should wheels be made as seperate parts of the vehicle?
Sorry to bother you all, but I didn't find any vehicle-making tutorials here.

Most of the links to the tuts at ghost are dead. So could someone point me to some on, say, YouTube? Edited by deslakle on Jan 8, 2010 at 06:50 PM
