I was just making a few custom-made sounds, one for your shields low and two for your shields recharging. I replaced the default sounds with my new ones in the unit_hud_interface tag, after I edited the settings to be like the default sounds.
In-game i don't hear anything.

Quote: --- Original message by: l283023 Check the following: 1. Can you play the sound in Guerilla? 2. Are the majority of the values set to 1, or similar to the sound you are trying to mimic? 3. Did you replace the actual sound tag or the location reference? 1. Yes, and can hear it quite clearly, in fact very slightly clearer than when played in WMP 11. 2.Yes, I copied them from the UI SFX. 3. Latter.

Quote: --- Original message by: l283023Did you replace it in cyborg.unit_hud_interface or cyborg_mp.unit_hud_interface? I believe the 'former' one is the one you want. I have a completely new unit_hud_interface which my biped will use for both SP and MP. So, you're saying I need to replace the sound tags and not the references?

I copied and pasted the cyborg.unit_hud_interface tag, and just I replaced the sound references, no checkboxes, so as with the old cyborg.unit_hud_interface tag, there's a check for each sound.

I don't recall, I'll go check, after I get some sleep that is. I think I just exported it as a WAV in Audacity, but maybe I used PCM 16-bit 22050 Hz or something... whichever one is the compression. I follow Nitrous's tutorial, I even downloaded that Goldwave stuff it said and did what was mentioned. Yes. I don't recall either, but I'll try recompiling them now.

Quote: --- Original message by: l283023 Well, I'm running out of ideas. Can you recursively rip your unit_hud_interface to a new folder with HEK+, then zip it up and upload it somewhere? FTFY Just in case it would have caused any problems.

By recursive, you mean all the other files referenced in the tag? Because that's what I think(and am sure of) happens when you recursively extract tags.
