Are you able to use a uvw unwrap on a level?
I know it's a HECK of a job.. but ye..

I really need no more crappy textures, I hate using: "Set ID" options..

They always seem to work out so sloppy..

I mean, look at guardian of Halo 3, you can't tell me that's made with the Set ID option, if Bungie still uses the same method of work (as I suppose)

use set ID to place the textures, you can use select ID to uvw everything on that texture or manually select the faces you want to uvw

then, go to modifiers and add uvw map, usually just the part you want to unwrap, make changes, right click and convert to mesh, select those polies....then back in modifiers add the uvw unwrap again make your changes and when your finished with that part right click and convert to mesh
