Does anyone know why all of a sudden after installing Crysis, I can no longer open Halo? It goes to black screen like normal then all of a sudden just doesn't load it and takes me out to my desktop. And yes, I tried reinstalling halo

It's because you installed Crysis.

Reinstall CE. I had to reinstall Halo when I installed the crysis demo to benchmark my PC.

I did reinstall. Would it happen to have anything to do with Direct-X

Maybe I should just get a whole separate hard drive having only halo and other tools I'll need like 3ds, photoshop, gimp, etc... I was planning on getting a second hard drive for windows 7 but maybe I'l install all my halo stuff to that hard drive and keep the one I have now for windows 7. Than nothing can interfere with the program files affecting halo.

I was almost going to quit playing Halo a while ago when I couldn't get the halo mapping tools to work. I started playing fear and then for some reason the multiplayer wasn't working so I went back to Halo. I don't know if I would want to start modding Crysis though. I started with halo and I almost like dealing with its POS excuse of a game engine. LOL
Still, does anyone know how to fix this WITHOUT having to chose one or the other? |
