1. no this is not an xbox game
2. this is an add-on for halo 1 PC -you download it, not buy it
3. yes there is online play, and there is no fee (this game is not supported by anyone now)

for h2v you can use a standard xbox live account or create a profile not linked to live
no you cannot do system link- so no you can't play against people on xbox's

and i have no idea what you are talking about here

i was saying if this was something like halo 2 for the xbox1...but i understand what u said..
also,,i was talking about halo vista having some netplay other than XB Live fee,,like going against other players thru pc..

also,,your saying i would need halo 1 combat evolved, then i download the custom add-on..that would make it HALO CE...

1.Is this like halo 2 the 1 for original xbox? well, yes. its halo 1, but you can make your own/download extra stuff
2.if it is like so,,what store do i find this? it's a free download, but you must have halo: combat evolved intstalled
3.are there online play?whats the fee? there is free online play.

i also notice u guys have halo 2 vista..
if i buy the that game do i also have 2 pay for online play,,can i do system link play...
an does installing extra maps hard work for both games.. installing extra maps is not hard: you download them, then copy them into a folder named "maps"

Don't listen to MissingSpartan. He only got 1/4 of that right.

1. Halo: Combat Evolved PC is the same game as the Xbox version, but it now supports online multiplayer and has a "Custom Edition" which allows users to create and share content and maps to play.
2. You have to pay for Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo: Custom Edition, however, is absolutely free and can be found on this website (not in the forums, the main downloading site.).
3. There is online play in both Halo: Combat Evolved/Custom Edition (PC) and Halo 2 Vista. You do not need to pay for either online play. You can link your Xbox Live profile to Halo 2 Vista, which makes it also a Windows Live profile (which is free.). There is no system link capabilities, and you cannot play against other Halo 2 Xbox players online.

You can add maps to either Halo PC or Halo 2 Vista, but you must make sure you are putting the correct map into the correct game. All maps etc. downloaded off of the Halo 2 Vista section are solely made for Halo 2 Vista, and cannot be played in Halo Custom Edition, and vice-versa. You cannot use Halo CE and Halo 2 maps on their Xbox counterparts.

If you are installing maps, be sure to place them in your maps folder in your Halo Custom Edition or Halo 2 Vista directory.

PS:

If Halo wasn't supported anymore, it would be abandonware. GameSpy still keeps the online play, and GearBox still "supports" it. They just don't do anything anymore for it.
