Hey guys i was wandering if it was possible and how it could be done. Is it possible so you can make it when you right click while holding the energy sword you could block with it so like if some one is lunging towards you you could block it and would take no damage?

not unless its also a shield, and lunging looks weird, just go play sanctuary, you will see what I mean

Actually i have seen a lunge that isn't really bad but i can't remember which map it was on. There are some good lunges out there though. But isn't it just how the animation is set up?

Sanctuary's Lunge was bad cause it didnt sync if they got it to sync then you could dodge it. but in this case you could block it.

You can't block it. The way the lunge works, to the best of my knowledge, is it fires a projectile that does damage, like any other gun. The only difference, is that when you hit something, it'll reflect off and hit you, then creating a damage effect that propels the player forward. The "lunge" isn't synced with the damage, as the damage can be caused at times when the lunge doesn't occur.

idk. I was thinking maybe make a script and animation for it so like your basicaly invincable for 2 seconds or so.

Yeah i was thinking people would abuse it. thats why i was thinking make it have a over heat efect. like they cant just hold it down eventualy the sword would go down and stop blocking.

hey everybody listen to me becuase i have a valid point that should be listened to, so listen to me ok? ok great here i go kirby released a wieldable jackal shield a while back that would actually block bullets. this is the link: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2807 the sword lunges by firing an invisible projectile at whatever its aimed at, and if it hits a player, it causes a damage effect that causes the sword guy to lunge. what if you used the jackal shield blocking idea on the sword so it would block that invisible projectile? the seeds have been planted. i let you guys figure out the rest
