Hey all. First, TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT YOYORAST ISLAND V2 CANT WAIT TO PLAY IT.
Second, I got my friend to buy Halo PC, and when i downloaded Halo CE and ran it, when I clicked on Join Game, the checking for updates screen comes up and then says "Administrative privileges are required to download this patch". Anybody know how to fix this? I thought it MIGHT have been because he had a password on his HP user account, but he took it off and that did nothing...Soooo...Any idears??? Help is appreciated! :) |

Give me your xfire. I'll send you the files the get patched. It's what I did when my friend's dad wouldn't give him any admin privileges. I'll give you the files to put in your halo ce root directory.

Well he downloaded the patch that's on the main CE Maps page- the 0.8 or whatever it is...Then just extracted it all to the CE root folder- is there something he needs to RUN though? Like an .exe???

Like an .exe??? He was supposed to run the patch. Does he have xp or vista? If he has vista, then he has to right click on it and press run as admin. If on xp just click on it. Either way, if he doesn't have admin rights. Add me on xfire. I'll give you the files to update without admin rights. |
