Has anyone ever created a program for ripping scripts? If so, how does one acquire the program?

No.

and No.

There is no public script ripper. There are a few ways to find the script, but HEK+ rips the scenario wrong (somehow) and the script formatting is messed up. You can find the scripts in a hex editor but it will not work as is. You can see the commands, but that's about it. If you open up a non-ripped scenario in a hex editor it will be the exact script.

Want to bet?

You can view the script names in Kornman, but not that whole script. My main computer is in for repair, I'll prove it to you when it's back.

Edit: Go ask Gamma, I showed him it.

Yes, Kornman V2. It doesn't give you the full script... I don't know what your talking about.

I'm sorry, but I don't see it? Prove it with a screenshot or something. All I see is the names of the scripts.

That only happens on scenarios you compiled the script into. If you rip a tag, it doesnt include that.

Anywyas, you can get the rough idea of a script by opening the scenario in notepad. If its a scenario you compiled the scripts into yourself, you'll find it full intact as its the same data held in the source, but if you rip it, you'll just get raw chuncks a little further down the scenario.

I have read that some clan developed a script ripper, but don't know if it was ever released for public use. Anyone know about this program?

Like I said, there is no public script ripper. If you could, in theory, rip the scenario file 100% right, then you could get the scripts.

You could ask the person who made the script for the script...

I have kept the scripts intact on some maps such as coldsnap, but have rewritten them on others. It would, however, be nice to be able to see how the scripts were structured on certain maps in order to better understand how things work, and to also be able to add to existing scripts without having to rewrite the original from scratch.
