Hey guys, quick problem..

Just installed CE on my new comp, its working and all, but when i try to join a game, it says an update is required, obviously, but then it says that i cant download the patch because i do not have administrative privileges on this computer.. thing is i built it myself and im the only user.. I am the administrator..

Any ideas?

Go to start, click on control panel, user accounts and family safety, User accounts, Turn user account control on or off. turn off UAC, then restart you're computer then try again.

This is the worst thing you can do. It turns off ALL security and lets you run in the administator context. I hate it when people recommend this. It shows how little they know about the operating system.

You just need to either run the game - for that one time- as administrator or download the update from the website and follow the instructions. Turning off all security is just plain stupid.
