What causes Exception Errors, I keep getting one on my map. My idea is that it's happening becuase there's a lot going on in my map and the program can't handle it, but I want to know for sure before I start taking away the good stuff.

Is it just a plain exception, or is there an error code after?

I don't remember seeing an error code, I could play again until it happens again, but what dose a plain exception mean?

Oh, you mean "Gathering Exception Data". I thought you meant that you got one in Sapien. Usually, one that you get while ingame signifies that something that's being loaded has an error. Once you get the exception, restart the map, and go do whatever it is that you were doing before. If it causes an exception, then something that happened near that time is the problem.

Here is the error signature for my "gathering exception data": AppName: haloce.exe AppVer: 1.0.8.616 ModName: haloce.exe ModVer: 1.0.8.616 Offset: 000f1fa9
I don't know if that helps or not, but it's hard to see what's exactly happening because my map is basically Bloodgulch with AI who guard your base. You can provoke the Blue AI to come over and fight with the Red AI and it's when a battle erupts is when the error happens. The thing is that there can be lots of confrontations before the error happens, it seems to happen randomly, but always after about 10-20 minutes. (I have no unique triggers that happen at that time).
My idea is that it's due to too many scorch marks, there are lots of explosions going on in my map and I think at a cirtain point they pile up too much. Is it possible for there to be an error due to that? Can I make it so the explosions don't always cause scorch marks?

You shouldn't exception because of too many decals (scorch marks), but you can remove them. Either: A: Ingame, go to Options->Video Settings-> Decals -OFF- OR B: Open the explosion.effect file and delete the decal referenced in the "Parts".
Are there any custom tags in your map?

yeah, I got a Halo3 Wraith and a Brute Shot, also a lot of the other tags, like my rwarthog and rocket launcher are modded. But I've tested all my wepons and no error happens, until much later like I said.
But thanks, just to make sure though I'm going to take off the decals and lower the graphics a little in settings.... tomorrow cause it's late.
