I want to have it so if you are on red team, you are an elite and if you are on blue team you are human. Is this possible?

Through complex scripting, and permutations, yes. However, you would have to re-rig the elite to use cyborg animations. Not an easy task.

You could have the item collection that you start with come in two flavors, but it's all up to chance. I can't think of any way to make both teams have different weapons.

Well i see how it would be important to have the Covenant side start with their style of weapons and the Spartans start with human weapons. I hope that may be possible as well.
Well that gives me hope that someday i can make a type that gives this option.

Same biped yes, but that biped can have permutations. I posted my idea in the other thread, and it should work. Once I get a suitable BSP, I'll make a proof of concept map.
