Msg. 1 of 1
I keep running into an annoying problem. I have some sort of hole in my geometry that needs capping. 3 of the vertices are parallel. When I select the hole and cap, it caps it, but it creates a triangle from the 3 parallel vertexes (bad), because one of the edges of the polygon it creates goes between the 2 far parallel verts.
Welding doesn't help because there's no vert on the edge between the 2 far verts to weld to the middle vert.
Is there any way to automatically fix edges with little or no area or turn edges in the selected parts of a mesh so that the triangles are all as close to equilateral as possible? (turn edges to make triangles shorter and more equally proportioned)
I know, i was warned not to use editable poly. I'll try to remember next time that it has this problem, but its too late for the map I'm working on now. I need a quick easy way to fix these problems.
Thanks!

I'm using max 8 btw.
