why arent the new maps posted yet?

this weekend ended with no new maps

Hardware problems with the test platform machine and also because I was ill and have fallen behind on everything. Be patient. Parts have been ordered and medicine has been swallowed.

God dammit! Why did my hard drive have to break right before this?

Hey, I see you used that Archive ATV. Good for you!

You need to fix somethings before you release this, one of them being the weapons. Hillbillys do not own battle rifles from 500 years in the future, same with rocket launchers.
There were also many spots on the map where i would fall through to my death. One being the red cooler with beer. There is no sky, or a radio like in your video. There is also no monster truck sounds. Replace the FP arms with something more human and get a better shotgun model.
I really feel like we've been tricked into thinking this is alot better than it actually is, don't get me wrong the layout is good, but all the glitches and random weapons kill the redneck style ALOT. You might as well get rid of weapons all together, I never saw the point to them in any racing map. Atleast make sure you don't spawn with them and place them far away from the spawn points.

Please make those changes, the map has alot of potential but right now it looks like all the others out right now.

the sky works perfectly, as do the sounds. Havent tested the radio yet, but i think i heard someone use it.

the render bounding radius needs to be raised on all the scenery objects.

Works great for me! These ARE hillbillys from 500 years in the future...some things never change! One of the most original maps in a long time...

My sky is black and there is default sounds except for a few. The point is that this could be much better than it is.

the sky is black because his high quality texture does not exist. Turn your graphics to medium on texture quality and bam there is teh sky =P

Thanks for the honest crit. The annoying thing is that most map authors assume that racers, and race servers dont allow killing, and therefore they put crappy weapons on race gametype (they just don't allow turning race into slayer). Two race clans beta tested the map - and loved the weapons - (since they weren't the standard crappy plasma pistol or needler put in by many authors).

No, there is no radio, the music in the vid was only ambience. The monster hog rev engine sound is actually the horn "crouch." And trust me, it's there - nice n loud.

As stated, those with low end, or 6 year old graphics cards won't see the sky.

The battle rifle was an after thought midrange deadly weapon other than a sniper rifle - I would prefer a .3030 or .306, but as far as time-period matching of weapons to rednecks - who said this was set in the past? Trust me, there will be rednecks/hill billies in every generation due to inbreeding cyborgs, gman looks like he would be the type, (or the product) lol.

It's a very nice map, but somethings could've easily been fixed. I liked the grenades\beer\footballs, and the modified warthogs.

cool, looks like some one did find a use for that beta walton i made, im also gona release another pickup truck that will be public use. this map looks cool, gona dl now.

the sticky nades should of been molotovs, a common hill billy weapon back in the moonshine day, mabey make some hill billy melee weapons like a shovel or tire iron. an old winchester lever action rifle would be cool too, crap, i gave away my plans for my map....
