Just read on the Bungie forums. 1 Theory is that Sierra 259 stands for Spartan 2, number 059 (which would be Spartan Malcolm). However that theory is contradicted by the trailer saying "This is Sierra 320. Prepped for combat insertion.". So it would have to be the 2nd group of Spartan 2's. Because hes spartan 117. Which is 3 digits.
And there isnt much to discuss about Reach. Only the teaser trailer which doesnt tell us much about the game. Except there are spartans, marines, war, and Reach.

If anyone read the Halo books, especially halo: ghosts of onyx. I think that one is the one that has about 200 spartans, who are trained after JOhn and the other spartans.
SPOILER ALERT those new trained spartans die though :( well most do...

Yes but they have code names based on their company and their number.
So Alpha company examples: A58 A70 A178
Beta company examples: B21 B92 B89
Gamma Company examples: G41 G12 G62

Same rules apply here for ODST and Reach games as did Halo 3. No more than two topics on the front page. This may ba a Halo CE forum but we can't ignore new games in the Halo universe. Just be reasionable people.

Definitely not at the same time. If they do, it will be several years after the game's initial launch.

Who else wants Project Natal to be apart of this?
It would be awsome to order marines and see them respond porberly, instead of having to swap weaopons and seats and stuff until you get a guy with a rocket launcher iin the passenger seat of you hog.

Of course if you have a huge company of marines, then yes it would take all the fun out of it, but not when you're giving commands like "hold your fire" and "follow me". I think it would be better if commands were implemented much like those in Counter Strike Source while playing with AI on your team, especially in a setting like Halo 3:ODST.

Oh yes, I can see it now. Some whiny pre-pubescent 12 year old getting p***ed off becuase it wont register his voice commands. I think it'd be better if they just stuck with no voice commands.

I think it be pretty cool to be able to point out targets to your marines, or make motions with your hand to tell them to like stop moving or go to a location.

Probably with that new 360 motion sensor thing shown on E3, that could probably be possible. All though there basically making the motion sensor to go against the new PS3 Eyetoy and the Wii. Edited by Advancebo on Jun 4, 2009 at 06:01 PM

Doubt it, knowing Microsoft, they would want Bungie to make a newer and better engine.

I think the success of Halo 3 proves that it does not need a awesome graphics engine to make people happy. They will update it and give it shiny new bells and whistles, but they're definatly not making a brand new engine for it. Even after 2 years, halo 3 is still the #1 must played multilayer game on the xbox 360.
