I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

For the dirt areas, change the dirt to be grassy here and there. In doing this you may want to edit the main bitmap so that its alpha in the dirt area has some specks of ... whichever color is on the dirt area. I think the dirt area is white, so put some black specks in the dirt area's alpha so there is grass here and there. On the areas grass shows on the dirt path, you'd then need to add http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3008]detail object collections, like the grass sticking up on the second level, or like on Coagulation in H2, or like on H2_BloodGulch, or... you know...
Don't change the dirt's current detail texture, leave it as it is, because it tiles nicely.

I hope I didn't confuse you too much.

well, grass and rock is getting old.

Why don't you try something else?

Maybe make blood gulch on the moon, take away the halo rings, add stars in the sky,
add earth perhaps,

make the skins a "moon type"

Put some kind of "bubble" barrier around the bases.

if this is rainy bloodgulch, filling the path areas with water might look good. sort of like streams going into a pond or small (very small) lake. you could add more grass scenery objects around these and in the map too.

Oh like tree leafy and tree small sapling. Like how about get creative should I put a pond in the cave and like a pond going down the middle of the map and a waterfall going down and, some lili pads and, like a ghost parked near the river flowing.

Replace the oh-so-great sniping spot near the Blue team's base with an oak tree. If you could, that is.

You could make the paths a darker brown since you made the (almost dead)grass darker. Grass doesn't grow everywhere, you know.

That sniping spot is like, the only advantage Blue Team has over Red. Red has the Rocket Launcher spawn, the hill infront of Blue base, and the sniping spot behind Red base.
