Whenever i place a biped in sapien and check the box that says "dead" in the properties palette, it dies. Pretty good. There is a problem though....
When I go ingame the biped only stays there for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. any ideas?

Plain and simply, you can't stop it. Although on SP I believe they stay.

Can't you make a script that uses object_create_anew every 10 seconds or so? Or are bipeds not named when dead?

That would work, but there would be glitching every ten seconds, as the biped seemingly disappears, and reappears. What you should do, is create a scenery piece, with the marine in the dead position.

no you let it die, check the flag destroyed on dead, and then replace it with a biped wich had the flag dead checked already because dead bipeds will remain forever.
solved.

It's not possible. Dead players cannot be referred to in scripts because the (players) variable doesn't list dead players. So that means there's no way to make it look like the biped was recreated because you can't refer to the original dead player's biped. You can't even check if the player has died because of this.

He didn't mean players. He meant bipeds. You can refer to dead bipeds.

You can make a scenery out of it but, It will go in a continueous loop being dead then alive dead then alive and the shaders look ugly to you also need to add shaders to it.

Um no? It won't be in a loop, it'll be stuck in the dead position. The shaders will be exactly the same.

ok, i made a scenery tag out of Marine_prone 1 in the wounded marines section and it continuously died and got back up......then died and got back up..... then died and---yeah, you understand. But when i tried to make a grunt one, it repeated the animation for jumping out of a Spirit. Is it possible it just picks a random animation and loops it?

Import model and death animation into 3ds. Delete all animation frames except for the last.
There we go, dead marine model.
Export, compile, use that model in your .scenery.
