Apparently I am having one of the glitches I haven't heard about.

I am trying to go on Live with Halo 2 Vista, ON A VISTA COMPUTER. The first time I did it, it installed the December update for Live. I reloaded Halo 2 Vista, it told me to download the Halo 2 Vista Update. This is where the problem starts.

I go ahead and say for it to apply the update, and it proceeds to minimize H2V back to the desktop.

What happens then is a mystery, the update comes up for only 1 second, then disappears, along with Halo 2.

So I try to go back into it, thinking it was done, and it wants me to apply it, AGAIN.

Any idea why this is happening?

(BTW, I have bought this game, I have my CD Key already. It's used now)

I'd try a reinstall, when I first put H2V on my comp I couldn't update it for the longest time, unfortunately I'm not sure what changed but it finally started working after many installs. :\

Try downloading the updates from the site and let it update
