Hello, im having problems with hosting a Halo Server. On both Halo CE and Halo PC. This is so far what I did. I port forwarded the ip's 2302, 2303, and 80. No cigar yet. I tryed switching ports around in the Halo network part. Still nothing. Yet i can't find the problem, I can host a Teamspeak server no problem, but i cannot host a Halo Server.. Any suggestions or tips on how to make this work?

I have this same issue, and I have portforwarded everything. I can still join servers, but not make one others can join. I do not know why this is like this, but I want an answer.

Quote: --- Original message by: Foxtrot Seventy I've had the same issue. Luckily I remember exactly what I did to fix it.
First, you need to >>temporarily<< disable the Windows Firewall. Then, do the port forwarding method again, deleting the entries you have already. Next, reenable the firewall and make sure you have UDP for port 80, and TCP for 2303/2304 (or around there...) in the exceptions list, as well as Halo CE's main EXE.
From there, get a buddy from Xfire or somewhere and make a private server. Give it a password and load it up. See if he can join.
[Note]Make sure your friend can join servers before selecting him. Otherwise, it's useless....
If he cannot join, then it could be on his end. OR you could leave the server up with no password and see if people join. The minimum "wait" time is about 2 minutes, if no one joins in 15 minutes, you might need to disable the firewall to see if that works.
Also, make sure people have the map and it's a good game type such as CTF on Danger Canyon.
Hope that helps, Foxtrot Seventy
[Wow, first post here and it's a wall of text. Awesome! xD] That is not really a wall of text to me. I will try and be back with input. Nope Edited by Dragonmaster91 on Apr 26, 2009 at 10:34 PM
