You can go in guerrila and open c4 item collection or weapon then change the upper color to red then save or save as either one

obviously you don't know much about tags

1.) convert its bitmap using the batch bitmap exacter,
2.) then edit the texture
3.) save and compile with tool ( tool bitmaps weapons\c4\bitmaps or whatever directory the c4 bitmap is in)
4.)???
5.) profet

Save the bitmap in the reciprocal of the tags folder. Basically, if you want the bitmap to be in the folder tags\weapons\c4\bitmaps, put the edited picture in the folder data\weapons\c4\bitmaps, before you compile.

Before asking the question, I had tried editing all of the shaders from 0,0,0 to 1,0,0 to no avail. Sorry if it sounds like I don't know much about tags, but have never tried changing a weapons original color before.

They weren't talking about you with that statement. The first guy to speak up mentioned what you just said you've already done. That doesn't always work, because the multipurpose bitmap may not be configured for the shader to change colors.

".TIF". It's the only format Tool accepts.

Check the same path the bitmap was in, but in the "data" folder. As in, if your bitmap was under "levels\blah\bitmaps\blah" in the "tags" folder, then look for "levels\blah\bitmaps\blah" in the "data" folder.

Ok, I have the bitmap edited as a tif file, but when I run tool, I can't find the edited bitmap.

I have changed the color of a C4_Nuke such that it is red. I changed the first person model such that it appears red when holding it. The problem is that when it is thrown, it turns back to its original black color, and stays that way when it sticks to a wall or falls to the ground. What do I need to change to make it look the same as it did in my hands?

You changed the first person model, so it will appear red in first person. Did you change the non-fp model?

Figured it out myself...I had the old C4 tag referenced under the projectile.

Wonder if there is anyway to set the C_Nuke tag such that you can pick it up again while the 99 second timer is ticking down, sort of like a hot potato? Now that would be cool...someone throws it in your base, and you pick it up and jump in a jet and bail out over your opponents base with the nuke before it detonates. If you could pick it up again, would there be a way to remove its stickyness, so that it always falls on the floor for pickup?
