From personal experience, Norton sucks. Better go with Zone Alarm if you have choice or Avast.

This is very bad advice, to the point of being deceitful. Do not disable the anti-virus or firewall software. You need to make exceptions in them to allow the particular ports to be open. ^ Then you might be calling Dennis a dumb ass too sir Yeah well I can't find out what the h#@$ PORT 80 IS AND WHERE IT IS!

Cough* Eww.. Vista.. Cough* Have you even used Vista, or are you just basing that comment on what you have heard about it? My parents' computer has Vista and they have not had a single problem with it. Ever. And it's over a year old.

Yes, I've used Vista, my brother has vista. When I used it, on my pc, it would crash every 30 seconds, Explore.exe, which if you haven't learned, displaces your desktop and everything else.

Vista isn't a bad operating system. In fact, after using it for a while, the visual features have become a must. I cannot bear to use the Windows XP that they installed on the school computers.

Why do you think Halo 2 is only for Vista, why do you think Gears of War is for Vista? Their technique is to create a popular game, and then put it on their new os. Making them pay for the game as well as the operating system. It's a selling trick, that you probably don't even realize. Also, why do you think so many people stay with XP?

One of the first things I did was disable my UAC. Even though your more likely to get a virus (I think you are not 100% sure) it really helps alot especially with tags and making maps. lol. Yeah most people don't know how to do that or this http://www.google.com. They need to learn :P
