I'm wondering what the easiest way of getting lightmaps from another programs into a halo bsp is. I've seen a tutorial where someone uses max and a renderer to make lightmaps, then makes lightmaps in sapien, and replaces the ones made by sapien with the max ones. I'm thinking there might be an easier way for me. The map I'm trying to do it for is just a huge all-outdoor map with has one ground texture, for-which I have a lightmap. Could I use photo-shop to "bake" the lightmap onto the texture, use that texture as the bitmap for the ground shader, then run radiosity in sapien, but set the ambient color really high and make everything else 0, so that it just lights up everything uniformly and the sun doesn't actually change the color of everything? (If it did, I'd end up with lightmaps on top of lightmaps-bad).
Is there any other way's I missed? Thanks!
