As long as you have admin privileges. Vista is a good OS IMO, but others may not agree with me.

First thing you should do is set Halo Custom Edition folder to full access by normal users on the Security tab. That way you don't have to command prompt as admin or have any problems adding maps to the maps folder. Also makes tagging much easier.

Oh right. One thing. Open "Computer". Hit alt. Select "Tools", and select Folder Options. Go to "View", and scroll down until you see Hidden Files and Folders. Set it to show them.

Or you can turn off UAC (user account control) I had the same problem!

Just log back in. What's wrong with that? If you lock the computer, all you have to do is log back in.

Never, ever, ever turn of UAC, UAC is there to protect you, from virus's and such. It also stops computer stupid people from messing something really bad up.

I like how Windows 7 allows you to adjust your UAC settings. However, it's more vulnerable than Vista's.
