use the ghost's gbxmodel importer and his animation importer that'll get him in, then use the move tool on the bones and manipulate MC

I haven't done weapons yet, but I have some tips for animating. I suggest looking in max's reference for IK Limb Solver, Constraints, especially the Position, Orientation, and Look-at constraints. Also see the Parameter Wire Dialog. Use that to wire an IK Limb Solver's swivel angle to an objects x, y, or z rotation (it'll make sense once you start using the limb solver). Use those to make the arms attached to the weapon in a flexible manner, so you can do your animating just by moving and rotating the weapon. Then set keys for the path the weapon should follow. Also check out the Curve Editor. You'll need to set the actual node key data to the nodes with Collapse Transforms, and delete all the riggings when exporting. If you get extra clever, you could rig 3rd person and 1st person together. If you're using 3ds max, use Layers to organize your scene's objects. Gmax users unfortunately don't have the layers feature
