Hey there, I've been messing with portals lately and this error has been annoying me. Basically, it does as if it were a loading zone. In sort, just loading what's behind this portal once it's been crossed while it should be loading it merely by Seeing it right? Don't mind the ugly BSP and the ugly texture and all the uglyness, It's just place holder for my portal experimentation.

I've been going mad trying to figure these out too. Portals fail once the player can see them..or at least that's the theory. I've read errors where nothing rendered until the player actually touched the portal. also, if i remember correctly, portalling is pretty much useless on a really flat outdoor map i.e., the portal has to be hidden behind some kind of geometry so the player can't see it. did you try compiling to see what renders in-game? I want to know more about these myself so post away...any fixes you find or anyone else who know more check here http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=17321wait...i think i saw your sn in there somewhere lol Edited by sleepy1212 on Mar 5, 2009 at 03:58 PM

Your portaling wrong, you probably got some errors when you ran it though tool. Learn to portal right. Sorry, I can't help much, but portaling is more complicated and harder to explain in a post.

I got errors as my terrain portals dont cover a sealed place but basically my map won't work without these. I added exact protals around and they work but without these general protals ahead lots of faces don'T render in game. they semi do in tool but not in game.
