Recently I've deleted my modded b40.map because I have made so many errors in it. But whenever I create a new map with a new .scenerio file in tool, all it does is bring the old map back. I've tried new scenerio, and even copying an original b40 map file, but all it does is bring the old one with errors into the maps folder whenevr i replace it. Anyone know what is wrong? I assume it's gotta do with Vista but i'm not sure what. Ive also tried unchecking read only but when I open it again it sill says read only...

I doubt it has anything to do with vista. Try re-extracting a brand new scenario file, recompiling scripts again, and then rename it to something different, like b40mod.scenario. Compile that, and it should work better. Your problem appears to be that you never modified your scenario file to fix the errors.

It works when I renamed it, but when I name it back to b40, it loads the old map for some reason instead of b40mod.
I am also using a custom UI to open up b40 instead of using the console (which worked for b40mod)

This is one of the few Vista errors. For some reason when you don't have complete access to a folder, Vista likes bringing files back from the dead. I had so much trouble with this, I had to reinstall Halo PC 3 times, cause modded maps would not delete. Simple fix: Go to the security tab of the Halo CE folder and set normal users to full control. If that does not work, copy your maps and tags folder onto your desktop and uninstall Halo CE and HEK, then completely delete the Halo CE folder. Then re-install both and give normal users complete access to the folder.
