You are very new, haven't even been here for a month, so I'll give you kudos for trying. "Couldn't update edge" is different from open edges. There are two edges in the same place, each with their own pair of vertices. Somehow, your model is using both of those faces in the model, and didn't weld them together properly; or you created an illegal face, somehow. It happens all the time... But, yes, you can find them by using the Edge tool in Editable Mesh, and clicking "Select Open Edges". Since I recently fixed my old hard drive, if you find yourself unable to fix it on your own, and you use 3DS Max, I would be more than willing to help. Edited by MF Boom on Feb 28, 2009 at 04:06 PM

Edited by MF Boom on Feb 28, 2009 at 04:06 PM um well im just finishing off from texturing the model and once thats done can you fix the model for me? my xfire is masterdandan. Sure. Let me just install XFire on this hard drive; I'll have to switch drives in order to use 3DS Max though... Edit:While I am willing to help anyone who has an error, I'll have to reinstall Max on this drive. My old drive is so full (less than 300 MB) that I'm unable to keep it running for long... Anyone who runs into errors, try to fix what you can on your own; for example, if you /know/ there's an open edge, fix that first, unless you can't figure out how. Make sure you have a sky also, or else trying to find the open edges will result in selecting the whole map 'cause of the missing +sky material'd faces. That'd be helpful just a bit, 'cause it's hard to find the errors when you can't target them. Sending the .wrl will help as well, that way I have one of two ways to find the errors... I'll record a video first-hand of fixing the errors. If I run into numerous errors, I'll fix what I can, and show you all the problems; if there are too many for me to fix, then at least you know where they all are, and what the issue is... [I don't mind helping, oddly; I find it fun. I have no projects of my own because I'm too lazy, but I enjoy helping others... So, this shall be my project from now on.] Edited by MF Boom on Mar 3, 2009 at 07:07 PM
