I think it uses scripts or widgets to add the button into the pause menu, like CMT did. For the actual switch, it just uses the command (switch_bsp 1) to switch to the second BSP, and (switch_bsp 0) to switch to the first BSP. However, you must set up the second BSP to be similar to the first BSP, but have a different sky.

It isn't a easy task, and I'm not very sure myself. Here's what I can tell: You need two BSPs, one with the daytime sky, one with the nighttime sky. Use the (switch_bsp) command to switch between the two.

(switch_bsp [number of bsp])
Use 0 for the first BSP in the dropdown list in Guerilla, 1 for the second, 2 for the third, etc...

* facepalm * You put the number of the BSP you want to switch to. For example, if you want to switch to the second BSP, you type: (switch_bsp 1)

After you put a different BSP in, you have to open it in guerilla and manually set each portal to a different sky.

Wait, do you want the "Change time of day" thing to appear in the pause menu, or do you just want to change it from day to night? If you just want to change it from day to night, just open the scenario in Guerilla, and change the sky. if you want the option to appear, you must have two different BSPs, one day and one night. Then I think you add a widget to the pause menu. I'm not sure.

This is not quite on-topic but it's close enough:
If you took a night skybox and put it into a map that is normally daylight, (i.e, Putting a50's night sky into Death Island) what would you do to make the map night? Would you need to re-texture the map or change the lighting or something? I was playing Modded Death Island Movie Edition Beta and I noticed the sky didn't match the lighting on the map.
