Alright my laptop has two drives C and D. I have halo ce installed on the D drive but HEK does not seem to pick it up, I think it only scans the C drive, is there anyway to make it work??

The HEK is for Halo Custom Edition not for the Halo (Combat Evolved) PC game. You must have the Halo Custom Edition game installed to install the HEK. If you are using one of the cracked versions floating around or the one from Download.com they may not create the proper registry entries to allow the HEK to install. Also the HEK is highly directory specific and may not install unless you have Halo CE installed on the C drive.

Programs

Halo Custom Edition Game - required

Halo Custom Edition V1.08.616 Patch update - required

Halo Custom Edition (CE) Editing Kit - optional

Halo Editing Kit Plus as of 12-17-06 - (HEK+) - optional

Yea I clicked on install and it said "Setup was unable to find a Halo CE installation on your computer and cannot proceed. Please install Halo Custom Edition before attempting to install Halo Editing Kit"

Your registry probably does not state that Halo CE is installed on your computer. <--- Dont need to understand don't worry.
Go to control panel, add or remove programs and check if Halo CE is on the list.
Also make sure that Halo CE was properly installedm not copy/paste from a another computer

its not impossible to install halo into d drive. i even renamed it into "halo2" (its not really halo2, lol) you simply unzip the HEK files from this website into halo ce folder.
