what version of halo ce do u have,
1.08 has alot of dedi servers but most of them are empty, only 20-50 players on the version, 1.07 is dead 1.00 is popular with up to 1000 players strings.dll is a thing u put in your halo custom edition directory and it allows you to change versions 1.00, 1.08, 1.07 whilst ingame by only typeing version (1 of them here)ce in console im not sure where u can download it because i got a friend to send it to me C: if u cant find it soon i will somehow send it to you... but if u cant find it, i would just try to find version 1.00, because that has the most players =D |

Note that Bitterbanana's flycam still doesnt work even when switching the version. instead, use a 1.00 executable and change it to 1.08 when yoyu need to. Console command: version-Tells you what version you are on version 1.0x- Switches the version to the specified Halo Combat Evolved version. Note that you cannot play Combat Evolved maps when you are on Halo CE and vice versa version 1.0xCE- Switches the version to the specified Halo CE version. |

I just keep a copy of Haloce107.exe and Haloce108.exe on my desktop, and copy the 107 into th Haloce directory when wanting to use flycam, or other applications. I copy 108 back in when wanting to play online. You have to change the name to haloce.exe each time.

I just went through the servers for today: (No Empty servers included)
1.00ce - Players: 782 Servers: 154 1.07ce - Player: 1 Server: 1 1.08ce - Players: 152 Servers: 50 |

vern. You mean that it says Your Client is a newer version that the server crap?
Did you use the commands correctly? Most probably the server is 1.00 CE So in console you should type version 1.00CE |

Why did everyone have to remove the auto updater! Could they not wait the extra 5 seconds to get in a game!

Actually 10 seconds. Well, anyone thinking of creating a server in 1.00CE with the name RUN HALOUPDATE TO 1.08 YOU *****. Actually according to Dennis, not updating the game is illegal O.o
