Whenever I go join a MP server game. It's just fine. I can move and shoot at walls. But whenever I get into combat, or I'm near someone. It just lags! There's no increase in my lag over the net. Just halo completely slows down. I've tried tons of things, but none of them worked. How can I fix this? Because I would like to be able to shoot the other players...

Turn down video settings?
Esc-> Change Settings-> Video Settings
Turn off decals/shadows/specular. Increases the FPS by quite a bit.

Computer specs? Your card might be so bad that the particles (Smoke, muzle flashes, ect) may lag it.

I have XP and Ati graphics card. Even If I play alone, or on a SP level with tons of explosions and AI's running around I still won't lag, only online.

Try setting Vsync, that stop it from jumping a bit for me.

IF so I got it on 70 and IDK if that causes a problem I really never noticed one No, that's framerate. Most games can support any framerate, but from what I've noticed, Halo only allows 30, 70, "VSync", and one other option that I can't remember, or something like that. I haven't toyed with it much... If I could modify it myself, I'd put a framerate of 120 on it, though. My card can support that high of a framerate; possibly higher... As for an explanation of what VSync means, I'll quote wikipedia. "Vertical synchronization (v-sync, vbl-sync) refers generally to the synchronization of frame changes with the vertical blanking interval. Since CRTs were nearly the only common video display technology prior to the widespread adoption of LCDs, the frame buffers in computer graphics hardware are designed to match the CRT characteristic of drawing images from the top down a line at a time by replacing the data of the previous frame in the buffer with that of the next frame in a similar fashion. If the frame buffer is updated with a new image while the image is being transmitted to the display, the frame buffer gives it the current mishmash of both frames, producing a page tearing artifact partway down the image. Vertical synchronization eliminates this by timing frame buffer fills to coincide with the vertical blanking interval, thus ensuring that only whole frames are seen on-screen."
