How do I find my Video Card and its Driver Version? Most of you might not know where to find your information from, so in the
Windows 7 Beta, you will need to do the Following, there will be pictures for you to follow along with.
First Step, open your
Start Menu and type "
Device Manager" in the search.
Second Step, now that you have located your Device Manager, you are now able to view all your hardware and update drivers manually. But where to start? First, you are going to want to open your
Display Adapters and look for your Graphics Card/Video Card.
Third Step, so how do I locate my Driver Version? When you are in the Device Manager, you are going to need to do the following. 1. Right click your Graphics Card/Video Card and click "
Properties". Then you are going to want to go to the "
Driver Tab" and find the "
Driver Version" Information.
This is for Information purposes for the Windows 7 Beta, not only so people can see which drivers work, but to make people understand that their graphics card isn't going to be the best after a few years.
Tip for all Users: Make sure your drivers are fully updated before reporting. If you are reporting with a Driver version straight out of the box, that works too. Don't forget to update this for other users.
