I having some issues with my Graphics card and Windows 7 Beta. Thus far, anything from Vista and up has been playing with my Graphics Card, this video was taken when I had Vista:

Here is another example [don't mind that lag, thats normal]

So what could be the problem? I have installed XP recently and it doesn't ever do this, now that I had to install the Windows 7 Beta because of the Stupid Vista Inspirat that screwed up my PC, its been doing this a lot.

Might help, might not. This is right out of the Halo Readme:

F. 3D Card Issues

Halo only supports DirectX 9.0b-compliant video cards. It is good practice to always install the latest certified drivers for all of your hardware.

For assistance with top video issues, visit http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gmsvideo.

ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128: You may experience inconsistent graphic performance with textures if you set the Mipmap Detail Level in the ATI Direct3D Control Panel to any setting except High Quality.

NVIDIA Video Cards and FSAA Modes: You may experience difficulties running Halo using NVIDIA video cards in any of the FSAA modes. If you are having a problem, you should disable the FSAA mode for the NVIDIA video card.

Via Motherboard Chipsets: If you have a Via brand motherboard, you may need to update to the latest “4-in-1” motherboard chipset drivers to avoid crashes.

Thanks for that. The thing is, this only happens when I use Vista or the Windows 7 Beta. It rarely ever did it in Windows XP. Could it just be a Driver incompatibility? I reported it to Microsoft and Intel, since I am a registered Beta tester.

Thanks for that, I just went into the Intel Control Center and clicked that on, so I will test it now and see if I get any results.

Because Windows 7 is a beta, there are obviously going to be /some/ inconsistencies with graphics support, but it shouldn't be major.

Aside from updating drivers (if you can), and setting the "Let application decide" options, as well as testing the "Run in compatibility mode for" options, there's very little that I know you could do. Disabling Aero may or may not help, since it's always being buffered no matter what, even when a full-screen application is running. If you don't have a good up-to-date card (Radeon HD or NVidia GTX), then it could be cost-effective to upgrade (You can get a Radeon HD4350 for as little as $50 if you have PCIe 2.0. See the link below.)...

It's worth testing each of these solutions if you can, but otherwise, my only suggestion would be to run VMWare/VirtualPC, and just run Halo on an XP platform... I've never seen issues like that myself, on any computer; yet I also have run the Windows 7 Beta, and ran Halo on it.

If none of this helps, my apologies. That's pretty intense for a glitch.
