Hi Guys...as you may have known...or not; Im currently making a huge single player map titled "Keyes Assault"..it is not a d20 mod, but I will use the cruisers interior as part of the bsps. (but new shaders)... It will use custom weapons, vehicles, and custom scenery. =) You play as an ODST and Your only allies...aka marines will be replaced by ODST's as well. Will have a new FP soon bt for now im using the marine_armored fp model...It will have a warthog run at the end....which is really fun =) and will feature insertions and extractions.. It will also have cinematics, a marine turning to a flood =) which is also in covenant's canyon. (which I did not make), will have custom music, features dialog and a double speed powerup. =) but It will replace the active camouflage =( because the camouflage is to cheap.. Will feature a weildable energy sword and a new elite. No rangers sorry, I would've added them but since they were put up for public theve been in alot of maps... and their plasma rifles are to hard, they pinn you down unless you have a sniper rifle or any other powerful weapon. plus because the map is foggy it would be hard to sopt them in the fog. no offence CMT, I do like the rangers, but they would not suit the map thats all. I will post pics asap!
PS. So far the exterior_bsp is a huge tunnel that will be used in the warthog run..still need a modeller to make outdoor environments (a LZ and a grav lift area [no need to include the cruiser that will be a scenery, and i will texture] ).
I will ask for questions for some parts.. So far a question for CMT or ayone else that knows how to do this... (featured in Halo2, Halo3, and spv1)
Q: How do i make a projectile for the hunters fuel rod cannon like in H2, H3 and spv1? All I know what to do is to edit the plasma pistol projectile (the charge one)

Err... I think this was answered in the MP2SPMT thread. Also, How are you going to get the double speed powerup to work? Every time I pick it up in test maps, it remains on forever. Even if you restart the mission, it remains that way. The only way to get rid of it is to recompile the map.

It works for me...but thats if i use the camouflage model..and if it doensnt work ill add a script to it. with a sleep so it doesnt go on during the whole map...oh and im adding skulls... so far ive got the blind and the fog but i cant think of others...can some tell me more? (also add what they do because I cant remember what every one does =()

that grunt skull would be funny xD Iron 3x Teammate dead? Reload checkpoint. Everyone dead? Restart level. Black Eye 1.5x No auto-shield regeneration, melee attacks cause regeneration. Tough Luck 1.5x Enemies attain ninja-esque dodging, for grenades, needlers, slow moving projectiles (ie. Rocket launcher, Brute Shot, and Fuel Rod Cannon and vehicular assaults). Catch 1.5x NPCs are more likely to throw grenades. NPCs always drop 2 grenades when dying. Fog 1.5x No motion tracker. Famine 2x Dropped weapons have half the initial ammo/charge. Thunderstorm 1.5x Maximum rank for all NPCs. Tilt 2x Damage type resistances/weaknesses are amplified. Mythic 2x NPC's health is doubled. and so on and so on, http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo_3_Skulls Lots of them seem impossible to make to me though Are you planning on using the current ODST models? they all seem to have invisible wrists lol, hope you fix that or have fixed, keep us posted, it looks fun

Most of those skulls are hard to do. The three skulls I have are: The Stealth Skull The Blind Skull The Relentless Skull
Of course, the relentless skull doesn't work as I expected, but it works nonetheless. The other two work well.

im using Doans ODST (not the ones on the halomaps site, but the ones that Doan put up on halomaps, because the ODST butt looks funny =P )biped but because it has no collision i need someone to help me with that....and I got 4 skulls at the moment. =)
-blind -fog -cancel -envy (which gamma calls stealth skull or at least i think he refering to it)
and the cancel skull is a extra one that cancels out any thing that you pickup eg. you picked up the blind skull and you see no HUD =( (which is what the blind skull does) and then when you pick up the cancel skull you see your HUD again. =)
im just about finished on making the model...its a30, a50, d20 bsps mixed together
i would post pick but i need it to be in at least alpha stage before any ingame pics are shown sry
PS. my laptop has all the stuff and file on the map and it has a virus from when i was studying (had to see a movie and i downloaded it and now my lapotop wont turn on even though it has 100% battery life)

i could help you with some halo 3 weps and textures, i have some (not from h3mt, ones i worked on myself or compiled from tags from halomaps)
also if you want a new hud we could work on that, ODST's have no shield so we could make a new one or remake the halo 3's hud if you want
for the FP hands, you know the default ones? if we remove the metal plate and edit the texture to just keep the rubber gloves, then you got ODST FP models! wow im pretty excited now! =D
do you have msn or xfire? oh man im so excited about this for some reason =D

(polar bears h2 but without shield.) and yeah add me on xfire. can you make the fp? that would help alot. and can you export by biped? its and ODST but its about marine sized not MC sized well im going on xbox live for about 2hours max. so ill be online then. add me during then and we will talk about the rest of it.

the reason ODST's are marine sized is because they don't have such a big armor, MJOLNIR got hydrolic gel to absorb impacts and such, thus making them bigger, storywise the ODST's are perfect (except the weird wrists lol) oh and uhm, i'm no 3dsmax artist, i'll get addicted to 3dsmax so my resolution this year is not to touch 3dsmax or any other 3d modelling program, its a time consuming subject, so i'll do the texturing if someone can remove the plate on the fp arms, simple thing to remove but i'm not touching 3dsmax again =P

Envy skull? What does it do? My stealth skull is the only helpful skull in my whole mission.

envy skull replaces the flashlight with camouflage... its in halo2 delta halo when you have to ditch your tank. when cortana says "they're all poring out of the middle, let's get in there" or something like that...it has 3 camo elite bipeds switching to a sword but they dont weild a sword...search it up on youtube.  EDIT: i added a new skull into the map....the unknown skull in "halo 3 cortana level" not the tilt skull with the bones next to it...but the other one with the generators....its coded into the mainmenu map and they removed it from the skull list but they let it still spawn Edited by sierra117 on Jan 23, 2009 at 07:26 AM
