Jk. Now, onto what I was really talking about. Certian things spark certain memories in my mind. Some of them being Ce, actually alot being ce. For instance, I was sitting in my room with the window open this fall, it reminded me of the summer of 07 when I just had gotten into CE, and how fun it was. It just brought back a memory. Another was last february. I had gone a bit crazy and my schools were being switched. I got to stay up till 4 in the morning for like 2 weeks straight since I had no school at the time being, and I played CMT Snowgrove every night. LASTLY, my favorite was the end of the summer of 07. I had just gotten H2vista and played it every night till like 5 in the morning.
What are your favorite memories?

Pipedream, Oceans Apart, resurrection, the Area series, hugeass, bacons race track, etc. That and I remember a thread on this forum where 2 people were having a conversation that lasted for like 11 pages or something, might have been longer. I remember when I played Halo CE right when I got home from school for a long time. At that time, Halo CE took 10 minutes at least to load because I had never heard of a map mangier. Ouch. I remember when I was just learning to make Halo CE maps. I modeled a lot of crappy highmapped maps, and attempted to get them ingame. About 1/50 of the maps went ingame, because I had NO IDEA what an open edge error was, or any of the other ones for that matter. Then after maybe 2 months of this I finally figured out how to get some of the errors fixed. and 1/2 of the crappy hightmapped maps went ingame.

Finding about Halo Trial one summer day, and being entranced by it. I was only 11 ;O. Found out about HMT and HHT and Sparkify patches, and began to mod. Played Cliff Mods on Trial and that was the funnest thing yet. Then I found a mod where you fired the needler and you could fly. Now that was fun.
Then I discovered Halo CE and bought Halo PC. And then the world of modelling and mapping opened up. Hugeass was one of my favourite maps for a while. Then it got boring. I found more gameplay worthy maps like snow grove and sanctuary.
But I still love snipers no shields on blood gulch ;D

Well when I first went to type this post I typed out quite a bit, so I said I shorten it for you. Seeing Extinction for the first time, the Scarab, longsword and pelican. To this day the Pelican is still my favorite halo vehicle.

When my dad told me about Halo CE. I learned how to install maps onto it really fast. it was really fun, this was around late 06. Until i finally joined in 07 and saw what was really going on, then i learned how to mod. My first map was Runway. Then i got Wizard_Swords, and i went on wizard for the swords. Then i realised it was a seperate map. Good times.

I had a halarious thought that came to mind, well halarious to me. It's like Left 4 dead and the boomers. When the boomer pukes, or when someone makes a bad post, the horde of zombies, or newbs and crits come in start swarming them.

My most favorite memory is when I entered the Halo CE community. When everybody considered others feelings and treated everyone how they wanted to be treated. When I made my very first map they actually said congratulations. They gave good criticism and said it in a respectable manner. The feeling I got when I made my very first map back in '06 was great. I actually felt like I made a balanced map. Unlike today when people get flamed for making a simple mod or a box map but I'll stop since there's a thread for that.

I'll never forget that fateful day on hugeass when Teddy sang a heart-warming rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Eather that or the first time someone mentioned the term Xfire and eventually lead me to downloading it.

ahh I remember the ol days back when I used to play halo trial and its mods like cliff mod and others like the old "sky wars" mod very fun it was, thats when I moved from halo trial modding to looking at halo pc modding and inbetween them I would join communities and also participate in playing the mods there. after all that I finnaly got my copy of halo pc in october 2007. I remember dowloading skins and mods and how fun they were but thats what brought me to halo ce, after inough viewing of halo pc and trial mods I accidentally broused into an unknown area of halo pc. Halo ce. and from there on out it changed my whole perspective on the games known as "halo" or something like "half life". the games that I played weren't just "fun" games anymore it felt like I acualy knew the game itself almost like as if I knew a person or a precious item. halo wasn't halo anymore it was something much much more like a way of life. But I still remember the old feelings and fun I had before I had that new perspective. Halo will always live on in my memories because of the fun and joy I had in it but also how it changed me in heart racing action but also in warm joyace moments just hanging out with my friends. I hope everyone will have or had as much fun as I did in this game.

Well, I remember my early days on the forums, when I had just started mapping. I was making an absolutely terrible map, but people still encouraged me to do better. It was when I still had fun playing CE and spending hours searching for new maps to play. And when I would spend lots of time talking to all the cool old members, I was a noob and I'm sure everyone thought so back then, but they helped me get to where I am. Cant say things are so much the same now.
