Well, on maps like b30, when i add new trees the old tree shadows are still there and look awkward. How can I make it so that the shadows are of my new trees?

tool lightmaps levels\b30\b30 b30 b30\0 0.9.

That's what I normally run.

You can do this in both, but its better to do in halo, because you can minimize it and do other things.

It works much faster in tool.
Tool can do higher quality lightmaps for Blood Gulch in about 1/8 the time it takes to do ORIGINAL lightmaps for the same map in Sapien.
