Yes, I am aware that there are a ton of blood gulch ai maps on the site. But I have thought of some ideas that I think will work well, but I lack the ability (and brains) to do myself. About the map, it should have the usual Covenent vs marine setting, the ai having the ability to use vehicles (preferobly well :) ), ai using a range of weapons (not just marines with assult rifles or covies using plasma rifles) a range of vehicles (scorpion, hogs, wraith, banshee, goasts, maybe a flying troop transprt like a pelican if thats possible) if your on marines your a spartan and if your on covies your an elite, epic music to go along with the battle, and this may be taking it way too far, and I doubt this is possible, but can you incorporate some sort of "squad" system so you can recruit a few marines 5 at most to assign commands such as follow, attack, get in vehicle, etc,. I know this is a huge request but if this would be done well I think it will be killer :)

Thanks for reading,

I'm not sure about the whole command system thing, and I don't think the follow command works too well on multiplayer. I tried it (I had it set up right and scripted correctly) and my guys looked at me like I was stupid. And they kept spawning, far past the limit.

They don't synchronize in multiplayer (you probably already know this, but I'll say it anyway), so you will likely be the only player. Of course, unless you like being shot at by something you can't touch.

The different bipeds for different teams thing isn't possible.

The rest (AI using vehicles well, AI having a wide range of weapons, wide range of vehicles, scripting a Pelican or Spirit (or Phantom) to bring in reinforcements) can be arranged. How well, on the other hand, is the issue.

Hmmm.....

Perhaps we could spawn the player on an elite biped and bump possess in a script? Is that even possible?

And it would be a lousy single player level. Sorry.

The command thing is, put in the simplest terms, impossible.

I thought about making small squads, like 4 man squads, in one encounter, and both in one squad, and giving them positions to move to, so they advance onto the enemy base. 4 marines to one squad, and 8 grunts and one elite to another. I also thought about forcing the player to bump possess the elite, but that doesn't work so well in team games on multiplayer. And this is single player.

So as I can see it seems very unlikely, or impossible for the squad thing to work, or the player model switch thing either, is there any way to import a pelican and phantom that the ai can use?

Yes, but its not guaranteed that the AI will fly them well. Especially not on Blood Gulch (Size)

Is there anyway to put them on a "fixed" course?

There are a lot of AI Maps here. Use the search function.

no you need recorded animations which awsome (er wasn't it gearbox?) removed

You don't have to use recorded animations. AI can fly (and drive) using command lists.

I clearly stated that I was aware of the other maps on this site. I am requesting a map with things that I have not seen so far because I lack the ability to do so.

well I have an idea for the different biped stuff, maybe you could do this its realy simple acualy: have 2 seperate maps 1 were you play as a human and other you play as a covie, so one map will be named something like "bloodgulch sp war human" and the other will be like "bloodgulch sp war covie" but thats just a simple idea that Im pretty sure might work

Just make more command lists making multiple paths to the center. That was the problem with the Great War map, that everyone follows one or two command lists that you can easily see. Try to make more command lists, and take advantage of the map. I made something like this, the AI will drive, and the Ai take paths along the cliffs, there are crashed pelicans / dropships around the teleporter exits, and multiple battles raging everywhere. It was my second map, so it wasn't very good, but if it sounds interesting, heres the link to a video of what I made:

there are a ton of blood gulch ai maps I think they are very cool because they are soooo boring and stuff (I lack brains)

If you want ai to follow you, use devmode. there has been tons of questions about devcodes like this, just look. Why do we even have a search bar? Only about 25 people use it.not me lol
You can not be a different biped when you switch "teams"(if its a sp map you can't have teams)You need to use bump possession. If you want lame blood gulch ai mods, search for maps made by gozy, he has made a map like this.
Anyways, I was beat to the point by the other people.
lol can you see this????

I just like to post "mean" posts like this at rondom.

Seriously, you cannot get AI to follow you just merely using devmode (unless I'm wrong. Then I will be happy to be proved wrong). The ai_follow command does not work without any specialties set up.

By specialties I meant firing positions (I have no idea what I was thinking...), and I have tried out this command before while scripting my own campaign
