Do you have Xfire?

Well, most of us use Xfire. If you have a google account, you can send me a PM, and I will give that to you. Else, get xfire. Also, on more recent computers, 1 GB is not a lot, and if you plan on attempting to do heavy modding / mapping, you will need a lot of space. My tags folder alone is 8 GB. 200 MB is nothing compared to that.

Get HEK. HEK Plus is NOT the same.

I think that link is what you need (the Halo Editing Kit (HEK)). You definitly have HALO Custom Edition installed on your computer, not just HALO Combat Evolved?

If you do already have HALO Custom Edition installed pahaps you should try reinstalling it.
Once you get the HEK to install your HALO Custom Edition folder should have the programs Guerrila and Sapien in it, along with a comand line program called tool which many pepole find rather hard to use at first.

As for the frame thing, for some reason HALO requires you to link your map (if that's what you modeled) to a frame. To do this just create a box outside your map in GMAX and name the box frame (or was it frame1, I'm not sure I remember), then you need to find the "select and link" button (it's a mode like "select and move" and in 3ds Max it's usally along to the left of the "select and move" button on the same toolbar. You then click and drag from your map to the frame while in select and link mode. This should have linked the map, to check you can try selecting just the frame object and moving it, the map should move with it.

Then you can have fun trying to make tool work (it really can get quite anoying, but me or many of the other members here should be able to help you out with that when you've got the HEK installed.)

Then if you have a HALO PC disk get rid of that version of CE and get yourself the normal version of HALO Custom Edition (found right here on halomaps somewhere) and install that, then the HEK. Also, there's a new patch out for both HALO PC and Custom Edition that means you don't need the disk in the tray every time you play anymore.

Don't be a cheapass and just go out and buy a $20 game. If you don't want to buy it because you have Halo 3 don't waste everyones time trying to get an illegal copy to work.

Also, why are you getting so offensive when I said that you deleted Xfire because you have a crappy HD? This is logical that you do have a crappy Hard Drive. If you want to prove yourself, post your PC Specs. Google uses about 20 Petabytes a day. So I highly doubt you even come close to a Petabyte. Google is not cheap you know.

If you have a petabyte free on hard drive that you bought at walmart, then why don't you just install xfire? Also, show me proof that a petabyte hard drive exists.

Even if you modified how much space it has left, it still wouldn't have that much. A hard drive is composed of physical memory. Unless your computer is a fat [censored], it probably cannot hold a peta byte of information.

And if you're willing to buy a 400 dollar hard drive, then why not buy a legal copy of the 20 dollar game that we are discussing? Although I can get it for 10 dollars at Gamestop.

Ya sure and I downloaded 150 gigs to my harddrive. You can't hack your harddrive to expand the memory and even if you did why would you be so anal about installing a 20 megabyte application?

See you not wanted "crap" on your computer is making it difficult for other people to help you. PC gamers use Xfire or Steam. So if you want real help I suggest you stop lying about your PC specs and choose if you want to install a 20mb application. Or is it that your parents wont let you install it onto their computer seeing as your 14. What you can do is remove the 45mb msn messenger and install Xfire.

LOL, I went to Wal-Mart the other day. I also looked online for Hard Drives. The "BIGGEST" Hard Drive is 500GB.

Look, you don't know what you are talking about. When a Hard Drive is designed for 200GB, thats all it can take. There is no "I BOUGHTZ A 200GB HARD DRIVEZ AND MADE IT 300 TERABYTEZ!". You sir, need to get your facts straight and learn how to lie. You suck at it.

There IS a one terabyte hard drive, maybe even a 1.5 terabyte that I saw at Costco (I bought the 500 GB), but they seriously cut down. What they say is 1 Terabyte, or even 500 GB, is cut down. My "500 GB" hard drive is only 465 GB, and you cannot take a 1 Terabyte and turn it into a 1000 Terabyte hard drive. Screenshots of you're "1 Petabyte" free hard drive. It may be that way, but the hard drive will not hold that much space. Seriously, I think you should join computer science class or something...
