Ok, for my SinglePlayer level, Flood Containment, I've promised a Final version, but I'm nit going to do that. Reasons are:
*Deathisland is too large. Its irritating trying to place blockings until far out at sea. *Trigger volumes need to be very big. *Not much can be done with the map. It seems too much like b30 anyway.
So, I'm thinking of doing a completely NEW SP level, based in Ice Fields. I've not started yet, its still in the plannng stages.
Map will feature:
*All Classic items. Everything will be from Halo: Combat evolved, though I might include Elite rangers. No Brutes. No H2 or 3 style weapons or vehicles.
*Cinematics and objectives
*A simple plot.
What do you think?

Sounds interesting. The only problem is, multiplayer maps are not linear. Usually.

Use guardians. That's what I did. Wait a while, create invisible and invincible rocket flood / grunts / scary things that go bump under your bed, and then sleep for like 300 seconds for the player to enjoy :D

Lol. Perhaps I could place a death trigger?
Plot:
You are to halt a Covenant mining operation, in Blue Base, and Marines are stationed in Red base helping you. You start with an AR, grenades and a Rocket Launcher, after the startup cutscene.
Elites will immediatey begin to attack red base, and you're supposed to help your Marines clear the area of hostiles, then move on to the weird-bridge thing that leads to Blue Base, only to find out that the Covenant hhave blocked off the bridge with an energy shield and you are to find another way to Blue Base, whcih was blocked off previously. I plan on using the object_destroy command. BtW, does anyone here know how to make a previousy locked door unlock? Whats the script command?
Anyway, in the area below the bridge, you will meet...the Flood! And perhaps a small cinematic. You find the Elites at Blue base being assaulted by Flood. You thoroughly obliterate the area of all enemies, and a cutscene will start. Showing Flood arriving at the base.
The Pllayer will have to fight his way through the Flood and Covvies back to the Red Base, only to find the Marines dead and Covenant in the area. After you end the lives of all hostiles in that area, a Pelican will arrive and pick you up.
Epic, right?

I'm not exactly experienced in that area, but I'll give it a try the next time.

Neither am I. That's why I make crappy AI mods to existing multiplayer maps and call it single player. It's not like anyone uses those maps for anything else...
Or do they?
PS: Do Pelican's fit in Ice Fields?

I noticed. Unless you actually ponder what he was trying to say. Which I don't recommend, because it hurt my brain.

I've done the first few stages of the map with basic cinematics. Added music, waypoints, and objectives.
Pics coming soon!
