Ok so I'm lost. I'm making my first map with GMAX and I'm using this tutorial called Gmax beginner video tutorial updated (the link--->) http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2664 . I've been following step by step and I'm just now at the tool part. Then, as the tutorial instructed, I typed in tool structure levels\beginner beginner and his loaded something up mine says
Couldn't read map file ' ./toolbeta.map' building intermediate geometry... Which his said that too, BUT his loaded something mine however responded: ### ERROR model file has wrong version number I cant find what I did wrong. I've reviewed the tutorial back many times and I've done nothing wrong. I'm using Vista and in the video he was using XP I dont know if that makes a difference. Other than that I used chimp for exporting the file but he did as well so |

Open the .jms file with a word pad and delete the parts that say chimp in it. Sorry for not being to exact. Open the chimp readme, it says it right there.
