Detailed Tutorial: How to place and use scripts.

Assuming your Halo CE Directory is C:\Program Files\*Microsoft Games*\Halo Custom Edition, lets begin.

Note: Reason why I had Microsoft Games in asterisks (*) is because I installed Halo CE differently. I cant remember if that's the original folder it goes in.

First, Make sure you have the HEK (Halo Editing Kit) before continuing. Take the script and put it in the campaign map your modding. (Lets say I wanted to use A30, which is the level Halo. It would be in the Halo Custom Edition folder, then follow this directory:

data\levels\a30\

Make a new folder, called scripts. So now the directory will be like:

data\levels\a30\scripts

Paste the script there.)

So now we have the script there, open the campaign level in Sapien (Or a hobo, or whatever you use. NOT SPARKEDIT) Click on File, and then Compile Scripts.

It might take a bit to compile (at the least below a minute) It should say in the Game View screen, on the bottom left:

scripts successfully compiled.

If it doesn't, it might come up with a error. All you have to do is find the part that is messed up, fix it, and recompile.

Once it says scripts successfully compiled, you can save the scenario, compile the scenario with tool. If you dont know the command, its this:

tool build-cache-file directory scenario

So for A30, it would be:

tool build-cache-file levels\a30 a30

Load up the campaign level with Halo CE, and test. It should play a cutscene and play the level exactly like it did in Halo PC.

I hope this tutorial helped!

I think I know what your talking about
Go to on of the top options by FILE at the top. Look threw the tabs, and look for switch BSP. They are usually in order.
