Who cares? One of Bungies older games, Marathon, still has a fairly popular following and new maps and campaigns being made. And it's been out since 1994.

Beat it 3 times over the weekend because I was bored. Screw warhead, go for the original Crysis. I play whenever my Sapien acts up and I don't want to fix it.

Yeah. Source games (TF2 FTW) are good replacements as well. Even though making maps for them is a bit more tricky...

I think CE will be around for a while. I think I will finally move on to one of the many far better games sometime before it dies. The only reason I still play Halo is because I like to make BSP models in 3ds Max. If I find a better engine that has that, vehicles, good gameplay, and isn't filled with ***s, I probably will go there.

It will die when halo maps dies, which i dont see happening anytime soon. Long live the dennis lol.

As long as people keep making maps and projects halo ce will be fine.

Like Rm860 said, it'll die when Halo Maps (the CE page, not the forum) dies. It's the #1 resource for downloading maps. Without it, so many people would disappear. I'm guessing there'd still be people, but not nearly as many as there are now, and that's not many. :p

unfortunately i wasnt here around that time... as for the community dieing i wont let it happen... not as long i have anything to do about it. I already signed a contract with machinima.com and am making about 99% of my machinima on halo ce... and trust me, we dont make crap. My plan is to release a couple of episodes of Tbmt Insider and then some tutorials about how to get ce and presto... we got a couple of hundred or even thousands halo ce fanatics and maybe we can get them on the forums and get some new faces around here.

halo ce will last as long as they keep coming out with more custom maps and what not so basically mapmakers are whats keeping this alive

Not on warhead. On the original, though, I love it.

The original had horrible multiplayer, Crysis warhead had way better online play.

CE won't die; it's way too original and people love playing on the computer. Both the CE and PC servers are still kicking with players, so there is no need for worry about the game dying anytime soon.
